My photography Story

Welcome to my new blog about my Fashion Photography. Originally I named my photography company as Modella Arte, in Italian it means: Model/Muse Art. But as I've grown as a professional I realized the need to streamline my name and have my company named simply after myself: Rochelle Jahdi Photography.

I love Fashion Photography! I began doing it 3 years ago on accident.
I'd always loved taking photos of landscapes and my children,etc. but had never attempted to do Fashion Photography. 

I was working on a web series as Art Director. While on set I was asked to take still shots of behind the scenes. I took some photos of an actress on set and they turned out lovely. I had modeled for several years and it dawned on me that I perhaps should use my knowledge of that and combine it with my knowledge of photography to begin doing Fashion photography. I fell in love with it! And after making several postings on FB and receiving kind words of encouragement I decided to pursue it as a profession.

Now several years later, and after much trial and error, and still so much more to learn, I truly can say I love doing Fashion Photography.
I hope to continue to learn and grow as a photographer.

I began this blog to be able to write and document what I'm doing and learning. If you would like, I'd love to have you follow my blog and give me your feedback! I'm always willing to hear constructive criticism. And if you like what you see then please let me know! I love comments.

This is some shots from a shoot I did just recently for a local clothing store I shoot for often called Whimsy Clothing. 

I really tried to open my mind to a different way of styling, shooting and editing. And I love how they turned out!!! Let me know what you think.
